Hard test for Valencia Basket visiting the outstanding Kirolbet Baskonia

Valencia Basket starts a five-day trip in which the first stop will be to visit the court of one of the teams in best shape of the Endesa League, Kirolbet Baskonia (Sunday 4, 19:30h, Fernando Buesa Arena, #Vamos) with the difficult task of extending the positive dynamic (two wins in a row) on the most difficult court for the orange squad in the Endesa League. It will be the first time that Jaume Ponsarnau faces Pedro Martinez as the first coach since they both won the Endesa League together with Valencia Basket in the 2016-17 season. And it will be a very special evening for the Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom, who will get into the Top-Ten of players with more games played with Valencia Basket in the same evening in which he reaches 250 games in the Endesa League.

 

In a match full of individual duels and players who can decide on which side wins the game, it will be interesting to see the duel of Bojan Dubljevic (fourth most valuable player and recent player of the week 6) against power forward Toko Shengelia (most valuable player of the Endesa League and elected MVP in October). The taronja squad maintains one more game the same three injured players: Joan Sastre, Antoine Diot and Rafa Martínez. Valencia Basket currently ranks sixth position in the Endesa League, with a 3-3 in the standings.
